Spacious Oceanfront Studio Condo A3 at Sand Dollar Condominiums

Welcome to our home away from home – Sand Dollar Unit A-03 - our beautiful ground floor (no steps to climb) oceanfront studio condo located on the island of dive/snorkel freedom – Bonaire. Our condo is one of the largest studios on Bonaire at about 600 square feet. It is truly our home away from home and we have added lots of the little extras that make a vacation special. The condo comfortably accommodates two adults and is most often rented by couples looking to get away for a while and relax. Please see our guest comments below.

The condo features a refreshing tropical theme throughout with a large complete newly renovated kitchen including new appliances and everything you could need to prepare your own meals. With a large renovated bathroom including a glass-block walk-in shower and for a comfortable rest a queen size bed with ample pillows with ceiling fan overhead we know you will instantly feel right at home.

For entertainment a 60 inch LG smart TV with multiple cable channels, various books, wildlife guides and island guides are all for your use. Additionally the condo includes an ultra quiet state of the art 24,000 BTU split air-conditioner capable of cooling the entire condo in a matter of minutes. We have also provided an electronic security safe for all your valuables that can accommodate a normal size laptop computer. You will find ample storage and hangers for clothing and dive/snorkel gear including a dedicated hanging/drying area on the patio so no need to leave your gear in the common dive shop area.

LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION

Quite simply, our unit is one of the closest condo units in the Sand Dollar Resort complex to the water with a screened-in patio (no bugs) and year round sunset views. Not all units can say this so please ask to avoid disappointment. From our condo you will be looking directly at the beautiful Caribbean Sea and Klein Bonaire through floor to ceiling sliding glass doors which allow for access to the screened-in patio with ceiling fan and wonderful year round views. We have provided comfortable table and patio chairs to make a nice eating and resting area on the patio. We always eat our meals, enjoy a drink, or do a little reading on the screened in patio in quiet comfort and relaxation.. The patio door provides direct access to the oceanfront promenade unlike second floor units.

Again, we feel location is important and we love ours. Our condo is the closest ground floor studio unit in the Sand Dollar Resort complex to the beach, dive center and pier but it still remains quiet, private and secure. Dive dock operated by Dive Friends are ready to help with all your shore diving and boat diving needs.

Fantastic shore diving and snorkeling is located directly in front of the Sand Dollar Resort on Bari Reef – rated the top reef in the Caribbean for variety of fish species. As our guest at Sand Dollar you will have unlimited direct access to Bari Reef for incredible morning, afternoon, twilight and night diving/snorkeling – all just a convenient short walk away. Sand Dollar Resort is centrally located on Bonaire so shopping, the town center and all dive/snorkel sites north or south are within a few minutes walk or drive. You are also only a short drive away from some of the best kite and windsurfing in the world.

Our local property management, oversees maintenance and cleanings to make your trip hassle free. We have large fresh water pool, lounge chairs, lighted tennis courts, bar/restaurant on-site and with several other restaurants, gym/spa, ice cream parlor, bank, grocery store, and shopping a very short walk away the little conveniences and forgotten necessities are right there for you. We are proud to have guests return year after year to stay with us and will do everything we can to make your stay a special one to remember. Need help with a rental vehicle, just ask and we will be happy to provide information and agency referrals as part of a vacation package.

We are not absentee owners but visit Bonaire as often as we can and listen to what past guests have to say about their stay with us. We take pride in our unit and do our best to make friends and guests as comfortable as possible. More than two adults in your group, please inquire about co-renting a second studio or 1 bedroom unit just steps away from ours. Many guests have told us they enjoy the privacy of having their own condo unit while appreciating the convenience of being so close to friends and family. Our condo books up quickly so we are sorry if it is not available for your preferred dates. If this is the case then we can help arrange a rental with a neighboring condo to meet your vacation needs. PLEASE NOTE: The Bonaire marine park, STINAPA, has changed its Nature Park Pass system. Now, instead of purchasing the dive pass or snorkel pass from a dive shop, you must purchase it online.

There are no more plastic discs to attach to your mask or BCD. Instead, you get a paper permit that you must keep with you when you head to the water.

You should purchase the Nature Pass (snorkeling or diving) permit before you leave home, print a couple of copies and keep one copy at the condo. (It is my understanding that the dive shops are not printing the permits for our guests so you must bring your permit with you.) That way, if the copy you take with you gets damaged or destroyed, you will have a spare. Here is the link for purchasing a Nature Pass.
