Mom & Sons with Dogs Annual Beach Trip
I loved the property because it was the perfect place to bring our (big) dogs. The vinyl floors were free of rugs and stair carpeting was a little worn, but a perfect environment for dogs. I could see where other dogs had scratched the window sills and door frames, so I felt like people with dogs were welcomed. I didn't feel anxious the whole time with the fur and nails. Pet towels and a sheet was provided since we couldn't keep them off of the furniture. I also brought some sheets. Plus, the furniture was of sturdy fabric. I did bring a stick-vac and a lint brush to keep up with the fur and sand as best as I could. We brought gates to keep the dogs from escaping off of the deck. There were some repairs that the unit needed, but the owner had one repair made while we were there. We were able to work around the others that had orders in to be fixed soon. We came on the weekend when the heat index was in the 100's. The dogs didn't get as much exercise as we'd liked because of the heat. But the AC was wonderful.We went to the state park, the fort, the aquarium, spent an afternoon in Wilmington and the boardwalk in Carolina Beach, and had great seafood all over the place.We would like to come again next year with our dogs. I will have to arrange a date with my boys.
