Modern Machiya Komorebi is an old folk house that has been renovated with the theme of an exciting and piercing underground space The two mandalas drawn in each bedroom by the collaboration of two artists create a unique space and the works are exhibited in the gallery space

Since it is located in a quiet residential area of Shijo Omiya in the center of Kyoto city it is also a convenient base for sightseeing

This was a beautiful place to stay in and a safe neighborhood. We loved the art and the lighting that magnified the place. It was quite big and we felt that we staying at home. Highly recommend this place as your home away from home
