We stayed six nights, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was so thoughtfully designed and appointed, it made it spacious and easy even for a long stay. The Gion Elite Terrace is also located ideally - very near everything but no heavy tourist traffic. Lovely!

We stayed only 1 day here from a cruise. It was lovely. Spacious and clean room. Walking distance to everything. This was indeed a diamond in the rough. We were a family of 3. My husband and I and our teen daughter. Beds were comfortable.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was by far the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at. Our room included a private bath, garden, and sauna—it felt like our own little sanctuary. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and every detail of the room was beautifully designed. We especially appreciated the complimentary coffee, matcha, and other thoughtful touches. They even gifted us a beautiful locally made tote bag that supports a great cause—such a special gesture. We truly wish we had stayed longer and highly, highly recommend this hotel. Amazing property with a super spacious room! The staff were so kind and accommodated our late check-in. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable.
