Almost perfect

This place was very nearly a perfect hotel room - incredibly spacious, exceedingly comfortable bed and pillows, toilet sink actually had soap (not often the case in Japan), a fantastic shower and tub, and so much space for storage of your items. The only 2 things more I could have asked for would have been natural light in the bathroom and a view from the window, but those are both pretty minor asks. The hotel itself is also in a super convenient area right near transit and easy to get taxis, and walking distance to a ton of food, shops, Gion, and more.

The room was big we could spread out, it is new and clean and light and airy. Transport around made it easy to get to all the different sites to visit. Pool was great to have a break after a long hot day. Walking around the back street and shopping was fun, as well as having shopping malls in close proximity. Good eating options in walking distance.

This property was sublime. Everyone was accomodating and helpful. Was it worth the price? Probobaly not. There might have been places with better amenitites and views for a similar price but this was good.

Just an Ok stay but pretty hotel

Hotel is gorgeous, lovely details, very comfortable. Fab location walkable to lots of shops and Gion District. The staff however wasn’t very helpful- twice we asked for restaurant recommendations from two different people at the concierge desk and both times they just googled restaurants on an iPad and pointed. Also lots of the staff doesn’t speak any English so communicating food orders had to be done with a translator app. Food is ok, nothing special.
