Hotel was clean and tattoo friendly in the onsen. But the downside was it wasn’t very comfortable. I have had worse here in Japan but it wasn’t great beds either. Pillows were hard as well.

The hotel was recommended by a friend. Kyoto is an amazing place to visit but is quite spread out. Proximity to the transport hub of the main station and bus terminus made our trip very easy. Staff at the hotel were great at providing directions to sights as well as places to eat. The hotel itself was spacious and clean. The onsen fabulous. And the facilities great. It was very hot when we were there and the instant relief walking in the door was magical. Great places to eat nearby - including places favoured by locals. Best food and hospitality of our trip all within a short walk. Also close to a convenience store making it easy to stock up on supplies. Thoroughly recommend.
