The hotel was recommended by a friend. Kyoto is an amazing place to visit but is quite spread out. Proximity to the transport hub of the main station and bus terminus made our trip very easy. Staff at the hotel were great at providing directions to sights as well as places to eat. The hotel itself was spacious and clean. The onsen fabulous. And the facilities great. It was very hot when we were there and the instant relief walking in the door was magical. Great places to eat nearby - including places favoured by locals. Best food and hospitality of our trip all within a short walk. Also close to a convenience store making it easy to stock up on supplies. Thoroughly recommend.

I’ve stayed at the Hotel andRooms in Shin-Osaka many times. I like the minimalist style. The properties are always clean and the design of the room is functional and useful. Staff are helpful and friendly. The Kyoto hotel is very conveniently located around the block from Kyoto Station. My only gripe is that my room was on level 2 facing the street. It is very noisy with pedestrians and street traffic. Otherwise I can’t complain about anything else.

Much better than I expected. After coming from Tokyo, wasn’t sure what to expect. But place was nice, modern, quiet and close to everything. Only comment is the restaurant inside the hotel has minimum order per person and that staff was not very friendly. But the hotel staff and other options well makes up for it.

This was a last minute booking, given that we had one night without accommodation on our way from Tokyo to Osaka. We decided to stay in Kyoto overnight and couldn’t have made a better choice! The hotel was super chic and clean, had accessible laundry and an onsen on the premises. Great place to stay! Very instagramable!

Property was quite quirky and looks quite new. Conveniently located about 5-10mins walk from Kyoto station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom was quite small but to be expected in Japan.
