A serene, modern, and stylish place with a wonderfully cosy atmosphere. Located in a quiet area of the city yet still easily accessible to all the main attractions. The beautiful garden and surrounding grounds are perfect for peaceful morning walks, and the elegant breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. I would definitely recommend it.

Impecable room and service, but since I have food allergies, it was complicated, In Hiroshima at the Hilton hotel they did have options like gluten free soy sauce. Considering the price for this luxurious hotel I think they should consider food allrgies on their menu.

This hotel was one of our favourites in Japan. It is a beautiful property inside and outside. The attention to detail in every aspect is appreciated. The staff are friendly, kind and able to support you with any queries. The room is large and has all the amenities you could ever need. The location is close to many of the beloved shrines and temples. Lots of transportation options with access to city bus and subway. Lots of walking paths to explore the Higashiyama district. Loved our stay in Kyoto.

We loved this hotel, and had a great 4 day stay in Kyoto. Very upscale and peaceful, in a quiet, non-touristy neighbourhood, with lots of convenient travel options. And we ended up in nearby underground jazz bar Zac Baran twice, as well as a tiny local restaurant about 15 minutes walk west, same side of street as hotel, called kawahigashi (it also says 'food and beverage' in English outside). We were the only people on a weeknight, with a single chef/server doing everything, and the food was phenomenal and reasonably priced.
