We had a nice stay in this hotel. The location was good, and we enjoyed the dance performance. The restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced. However, on the day of checkout, I couldn’t find one of the room keys. One receptionist said I must pay a penalty, but later another receptionist checked me out without asking for any fee. As I was leaving, the first receptionist followed me to the exit and insisted that I go back to pay the penalty. I found this behaviour unnecessarily strict and unpleasant, especially since the other room guests were not charged. The hotel also doesn’t have its own parking, and nearby parking was very expensive. The price list they gave us for parking wasn’t correct. The massage service was done in our room rather than on a proper massage bed, which was uncomfortable. The laundry room also wasn’t great — it closes at midnight, so if your clothes are still inside, you can’t collect them until morning, and the dryer didn’t work efficiently, leaving clothes damp. Overall, the stay was fine, but several service issues made it less enjoyable.

The room was a bit small, but normal for Japanese rooms. The bed was comfortable and the hotel had lots of toiletries to take if you needed them! It was also convenient to have laundry in the building as we had already been in Japan for a week and needed to do some laundry. Great location within walking distance to major shopping and Nishiki market.
