Are you looking for a traditional Japanese-style house that combines authenticity and comfort, nestled in a quiet area just a 5-minute walk from the city center? Kyoka-an is made for you.



Ideal for 4 guests, we offer two bedrooms upstairs with contrasting atmospheres: one in a Western style with two single beds, and the other in a Japanese style with tatami mats and two futons. There’s something for everyone!



On the ground floor, you can relax on the sofa while enjoying the view of the garden and the recently renovated tatami area.



A small, fully equipped kitchen is also available, despite the many restaurants nearby. Kyoka-an’s central location and close proximity to public transport (bus, subway) make this comfortable traditional house an exceptional choice in the heart of Kyoto.

Great base for 5 day visit to Kyoto

Traveling with my wife and 25yo daughter. Location was great, bus, train and subway all close a quick walk to Nishiki market, konbinis within a couple minutes. Communication was great, no problems. Very happy, thanks!
