Kyoto Kamanza Hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. It's in a really convenient location—close to restaurants, convenience stores, and public transport. There's even Nijo castle in walking distance, which is a nice bonus. Fairly new hotel with spacious rooms in a very quiet residential area yet close to Nijo Castle. Bus stops and a metro station were within easy walking distance. There are also a grocery store, a 7/11 and a bakery nearby so we bought everything for breakfast there. There is a small fridge in the room which is very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel.

We liked that it was quiet, great amenities, room was small but had everything we needed. Staff was unobtrusive and easy. The only thing we didn't like is that it is not very close to any attractions, but it was easy to catch a taxi to get where we wanted to go.
