Love the washing machine and dryer inside the room which was really helpful for long stays. We have enough space for a family of 5. We have everything we need like cutleries and cups, etc. You can also borrow a toaster for your ice cream (yes, toasted japanese ice cream) Staff can speak English. Harry was very helpful and friendly, he made things easy for us. Joy was helpful as well. They replace the towels everyday. They dont really clean after 3 days but they do replace the bedsheets so it's an ideal place for short stay. Location is okay as we had access to supermarket, bus stops and train stations, might not be ideal walk for small children. We don't mind staying here again.

Our family LOVED our day at Mimaru. We would stay here again in a heart beat!! It doesn’t have the amenities of a big hotel but it had what we needed which is a great room with bonuses like a bunk bed for the kids and a washing machine, big windows and kitchen! The bedding was comfortable as well.

Very spacious hotel in Kyoto. We loved our 4 nights there. The beds were comfortable and there was room for all four of us and our luggage. We loved the kitchen. We were able to eat breakfast at home before exploring Kyoto

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in a family room! The room was spacious, clean and well equipped, the front desk staff were always friendly and helpful, there is a wonderful selection of restaurants closeby. We walked mostly everywhere as this is quite central which was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Comfortable Mimaru Stay: Great Location, Friendly

Rooms are very similar to the other Mimaru hotels and of very good quality. Bed linen was very clean. Did notice some stains on the sofas that could be cleaned better. The washer/dryer in each room is very convenient, though its drying capacity is pretty low, so you probably need to wash daily if coming with a family. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Excellent location and connectivity. Lots of dining options as well as supermarket closeby, and a convenience store practically next door. Only a short walk to the Karasuma Oike station of the Karasuma line, which is only a couple of stops away from the main Kyoto station including the Shinkansen. The Karasuma line can also be used to directly reach Nara. Nijo Castle is walking distance. Kiyomizu-dera is also a single bus ride away. Overall, I would stay again.

Loved our stay at Mimaru. The staff were all very helpful. There’s a Family Mart that is really close by and lots of dining options around the area. The room is big enough for our family of 4. I would recommend this place and would love to stay here again in the future.

AMAZING HOTEL! The staff was so friendly and helpful, and were always so nice when we had questions. They offered many recommendations, helped with train routes and also helped ship our luggage. The hotel is also a great walking distance to many places like Nishiki market and the Karasuma-Oike line so we could easily explore. The hotel room was also spacious and fit our family of 6 very comfortably! If you are considering this hotel you should go ahead and book it. You won't regret it!!!
