Great location inside Kyoto Station, but dated rooms The best thing about this hotel is the location — it’s inside Kyoto Station, which made it extremely convenient for catching buses and trains every day. There are also plenty of food outlets and shopping options right at your doorstep, though this does mean the area is quite crowded and prices are higher than elsewhere in Kyoto. We were on Level 6, right next to the train lines, but surprisingly we hardly heard any trains, so noise was not an issue. Before booking, I saw some reviews saying this hotel was new — that’s not accurate. The hotel is actually quite dated, and could use a refresh. That said, the staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean, which made for a pleasant stay overall. ding on how positive or neutral to be!
