The room air-conditioning does not have heater and I have to ask counter staf to on the central heater but hotel policy is to switch on in the night but was surprised subsequently the heater was on the whole day towards my last few days The shower area is small, glass door should have opened outwards to have space for walk in, considering im small built. No onsen and lobby is small can be too cramp.

Cleaned room. Able to open a small gap from the window for cold fresh air to come in. Day time with cool aircon but night will auto switch to heating. Mattress are comfortable as they add on mattress topping. Loves the door where they make it like walk in wardrobe concept so no need dress up in toilet. Drinking water are provided at ground floor lobby eating area dispenser so prefer to get my own 2L water cause need to go up and down with PJ unless changed out. Staffs and housekeeping are helpful and friendly. Amenities to choose and pick up at lobby. Location is great. Walkable to 2 different stations. Taxi right in front by the main road. Took a taxi to the main station for Shinkansen cost about 2000 yen.

Fuss-free boutique hotel, booked a twin room and it was spacious for Japan standards. No full housekeeping, only daily change of towels is available upon request. Basic toiletries such as toothbrush, hair cap, comb and teabags are accessible from the hotel lobby. Located at the far end of Sannomiya Shopping Street, but walking distance to the popular Shinshindo bakery and beautiful Kamogawa river.

Great location and staff was friendly. But there were red bugs all over our bedsheets. I have numerous bug bites as a result. When I informed the staff, there was only 1 employee late at night. I showed him photos and he helped changed the bedsheets, but not the comforter. Our last night was uncomfortable sleeping knowing we still had bugs on the bed, but since we were checking out in a few hours & there seemed to be no front staff to give us a new room, we had no choice. The bathroom also constantly had a moldy smell.

5 stars for the location alone - walkable to trains/buses for tourist destinations and walkable food/drink/shopping/Gion district! The room was spacious for Japan standards. Plenty of amenities available if needed. Checkout at 11am and they can store your bags if needed.

Amazing hotel. Pretty new and modern. The staff were lovely. Rooms are big for Japan standards, which is great. It’s on one of the main streets so you have shops, restaurants and bus and metro stations around. The hotel is on an alley, which helps to make it quiet since the shops near by are loud and busy.

Loved every aspect of OMO5 Sanjo: the design, the spaciousness of the room, the location and the wonderful staff. My only issue was the not up to standard cleanliness of the room - the floor in particular was far from spotless. In the corners and around the feet of furniture especially, where I even spotted hair. To be fair I didn't mentioned it to them or asked for a cleaner as I didn't notice immediately, was there only for a few days and "busy" sightseeing. I am sure they would have remedied the situation promptly.
