The Onsen at this hotel is its main specialty feature. It is really relaxing to go at the Onsen post your tourist sightseeing day of Kyoto. The hotel is very clean and much bigger than other hotels in Japan

Lovely stay with family

Breakfast was fab and the hot spring is great with choices of pool. Kids love the ramen supper and ice lollies. Excellent location. Floor in the room showed stains but bearable. Would definitely recommend.

Too crowded unfortunately. There was not enough amenities for the amount of people staying there. Laundry and massage chairs were always taken. The Yakult fridge was locked when I went. Staff and onsen were excellent, but overall did not enjoy my stay due to crowds.

Staying at this hotel was a highlight of the trip. The onsen was exactly what we needed to recover after four days in Tokyo. The rooms were quaint and well-appointed, although it would have been extra to get room cleaning they still provided fresh towels daily. Only a couple blocks away from the subway station made it a walkable location while being quiet and safe. Not much in the way of shopping nearby other than a small Don Quijote and the usual convenience stores. Right up the street a pizza joint with 100k in the name was one of the best meals of the whole trip. The paid breakfast food was absolutely amazing and the free ramen at night was a delight. 24/7 message chairs, Yakult in the morning, popsicles in the evening, with coffee, water, and matcha available at all times made the place extremely comfortable and convenient. The staff were friendly and unobtrusive about keeping everything clean and running smoothly. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, affordable accommodation.

Very commercialized hotel.. way over crowded.. no shoes inside, so smells like stinky feet everywhere. Very uncomfortable hotel, not close to many attractions. Much better hotels in Kyoto area for the price. Overrated hotel and I believe ratings are inflated from social media influencers.

I liked the fact that they were changing the towels everyday and you would leave the garbadge out with the staff picking it up, without entering the room. I liked the "shoes off" policy too. The breakfast was good, but I went there 3 times and they never changedor rotated

The hotel itself has an amazing onsen, free noodles starting at 9pm till 11pm every night. Free ice cream and yogurt drink at scheduled hours throughout the day. Upon entering, your shoes need to be store in a locker, the whole complex is no shoes and you walk around with your socks or bare feet. They don’t have a proper luggage storage room & therefore, stored them in their lobby. Checking in was easy, staffs are very helpful! I would warn you, the hotel is very very busy with lots of tourists, the only time I can find a quiet and peaceful onsen experience was right at 3pm till 5pm when everyone is out exploring, then again at 7am till 10am. After 6pm, the onsen is crowded and can get loud as some tourists do talk while they are in there. If you want a real experience go during non peak hours. Make sure you cover up your tattoos for the onsen, or you can’t go in, they only give out 2 stickers per person, not very big stickers. The staffs are amazing and some spoke English, very helpful & kind. Our room was a bit dusty & floor didn’t seem like it was vacuum well, but maybe because they were so busy, the hotel was at full capacity.

Nice hotel with huge breakfast menu. Very close to man train station for easy aceea anywhere else you need to go. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. Recommend it as it has nice pool sauna area and many other extras for the guests.
