The property is amazing. Very traditional Japanese hotel. We took full advantage of the “baths” each night we were there. A great way to relax after a busy day of sight seeing. The ramen at night was the perfect pre bedtime snack. I would highly recommend staying here.

I would stay here again. It's easy, convenient, and safe. It was my first time staying at a women's only hotel. Keep in mind everyone is very comfortable with being naked, the showers are completely open in a large room. I was a little shy so I did use their private shower, they only have 1 so if it is occupied you will have to shower with everyone else. The room where you sleep can also get loud. The pods aren't soundproof. At one point I heard someone wake up at 3am, and that threw off my sleep. It was cheap to stay here and safe, that is what is important.

The facilities are excellent, the massage chairs, the onsen, kids loved the free ice cream, its very centrally located, loved our stay in Kyoto!

So glad we stayed at this hotel! It was myself and my two boys, and as a single mom I felt completely safe and comfortable. We were able to really embrace the culture here—there are so many places to eat nearby like pizza, ramen, and coffee shops. Plus, the train station is within walking distance, which made getting around so easy. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for true cultural experience. Only complaint is pillows are rock hard and no Netflix

I can’t say enough about this property. I brought my 10 year-old daughter to this property and it was such an incredible experience. First, when you walk in you have to take your shoes off, which is so unusual for Americans, but it really set the stage for a great stay. It is a busy hotel. There are lots of people and lots of luggage in the lobby, but don’t let that fool you. Once you’re in your room it is pretty quiet. The rooms are tiny, but it really doesn’t matter because you only sleep in the room. The best part about this hotel is the unbelievable breakfast. I’ve never seen so many items in a breakfast buffet. Also the Osen was truly an incredible experience, especially for American tourists. It was unusual at first, but we ended up going every single night stayed in the hotel. My daughter said it was the best part of her day. Also, free popsicles, coffee/matcha bar, and massage chairs were just the cherry on top. And also to mention, super close to Kyoto station where you can get all transportation options. Highly recommend!

This was a great stay! The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Every morning during my stay, I visited the hot springs located inside the hotel, which were the perfect way to relax after long days of exploring this beautiful city. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s also just a 12-minute walk from Kyoto Station, making it very convenient. The next time I come to Kyoto, I will definitely stay here again.
