Room was great - free laundry a real bonus. Wasn’t aware (didn’t read thoroughly) that there would be no front desk staff at ANY time. Didn’t get codes to enter building or room until after we called and spoke to someone. Used futon bed in room rather than reg bed only to find a note Saying that we would be charged extra for linens for futon since there was only 2 people staying in room. Overall - great value, room was super clean, grocery store across the street, walking distance to Nijo Castle, easy access to transportation. Would recommend- just READ all the info in advance so you understand exactly what a residence hotel is!

Bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the property and adult fare is standard where ever you go around the area. Nijo castle is only 7 minutes walk, Nijo-jo subway station is 8-10 minutes walk, and only 2 minutes walk to the closest grocery store. I like how each guest have their own bed and there's 2 restroom that is separate from one another, which is good for a party of 6 people. No issue with asking a set of fresh new towels when staff is around in the morning. Wahers and dryers available at 1st floor for everyone to share.

Really awesome apartment room that felt a lot bigger than on the pictures, easily the nicest hotel ive stayed in in Japan so far. It was within walking distance of convenience stores and restaurants, as well as a train station for days you want to explore more of Kyoto. Highly recommend if you're thinking of visiting Kyoto

The hotel didn’t accommodate the date change. The Expedia booking changed the date itself. In the beginning of the booking showed it can cancel or make changes, when requested for date change never happened. It was unpleasant experience with booking, cancellation or requesting for changes. Expedia personal just sent an email about the unable to change the date. When I called to spoke the Expedia personal they always said not to worry and we will take care of it and I did not see the outcome that I requested. I would like to see a different outcome to take care of customer as promise.

Very close to Nijo Castle (7 minutes walk), 2 minutes walk to supermarket. Restaurants were fun to go to while doing a stroll around the area. Subway and bus station about 10-15 minutes walk.

12 min away from Kyoto Station by foot, nice place with free laundry room on the 1st floor. Quiet neighborhood. There is a cash local tax due at checkout. We had a great stay.

The room was not super clean (dust, marks on the bed, etc.), we couldnt leave our luggage at the proprety before check-in and we didnt receive the email with the informations needed to get in the building. Fortunatly, a worker was present and he oppened the door + gave us all the informations needed for our stay. On the good side, it is well located (the neighborhood is very nice) and the price is very nice. Overall, it was just ok.
