Second time staying here and it was just as great as the first time. Even better as we had chosen a larger room, the last time it was quite difficult to manoeuvre a small room with two suitcases but we managed which is the norm with most midrange hotels in Japan. Recommend for the value and location, subway is a five minute walk down the road which is handy.

The room was sunny and fairly spacious by Japanese standards. The location is convenient in terms of public transportation. The only downside is that it is a little noisy, I liked having a tea kettle and large mugs in the room, plus the fact that they provided tea and coffee packets in the lobby. Overall I would recommend staying here.

Best Sotetsu Hotel!

This is my 2nd stay at this location, and it is my favorite Sotetsu hotel. I've stayed at other Sotetsu hotels, and this one by far is the best. The staff are attentive and speak excellent English. The location is perfect for exploring Kyoto. The rooms are clean and decently sized by area standards, and with competitive pricing. The breakfast menu changes daily, with Asian food and some western items as well. My favorite Sotetsu!

The hotel was amazing. The staff were so nice and greeted us every time we walked into the lobby. The rooms were a great size and it was walking distance to many great areas in Kyoto. They were also super helpful with helping us get our luggage delivered directly to our next hotel. Could not recommend this place more for your stay in Kyoto.
