House was very nice and very traditional. The only down side would be for tall ppl like myself i struggled with the stairs and ceiling as they were too low, but that is expected in Japan. Overall it was very well maintained and a great experience

It’s a great traditional machiya house. Because it’s traditional, the walls and doors are all fairly original style with some modernisation. The bathroom is modern as is the small kitchen. The only real problem was the cold downstairs. It has stone floors in the tv and kitchen area and the doors that look onto the lovely little garden outside lock in none of the heat. I would recommend using this property in late Spring to early Autumn. Overall a great location and nice property!
