It is a family owned Ryokan (traditional Japanese Inn) and they truly treat you like family. I have never stayed somewhere with the level of service and kindness so high. It’s a unique experience I would highly recommend.

This place was freaking amazing! The owners were simply amazing, they were super attentive and always was so happy to see us. Book this if you want to stay in a traditional hotel. There is only 3 rooms here, and there is a beautiful pond in the middle of the hotel. Also, this place has been here for MANY years and through 3 generations. Book a breakfast and a dinner, and you wont be sorry. I will be back if I come back to Kyoto!
