Peaceful spacious villa with private pool, only 15 minutes walk from the beach,away from residential "all night parties area" and 5 minutes drive to the fishing village of Ametlla de Mar and all its shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment. The villa is very well equipped: perfect for family holiday fun. Mum can relax and sunbath around the pool or in one of the many shaded area, while dad is cooking on the new barbecue and the kids are busy on there tablets thanks to the free WiFi, or watching one of the many TV channels or large selection of DVD in one of the air-conditioned living room, or even play on the NintendoWii!

Outstanding ! We spent 10 days at the palms and enjoyed every minute.We arrived earlier than expected as we decided to drive from Leicester to the villa over two days Audrey kindly allowed us to check in early and met us at the villa later in the afternoon. Communication was first class from the time of booking to the time of arrival. We are a family of 9, kids ages ranging from 5 up to 14. There is so much space for us all, at times we were looking for each other. The pool was a massive attraction for us, grant the pool guy came twice a week and is a very nice chap to talk to. Each morning I cleaned the leafs out the pool with the provided pool scoop as there are a lot trees around the villa. I think some people in these reviews expect the hosts to do this for you ! Yes the tiles around the pool are a bit sharp but we laid 2 beach towels over the edges by the steps and problem solved. The bbq area provides a great shaded area through out the dayEvery thing you could possibly need is provided, tv, internet, kitchen utensils etc. Having a car is a must due to the location, because we drove our own car there we were able to go and explore the local towns and villages and also a few trips to Salou. This gives you the best of both worlds, lots to do near by in the evening and a fantastic private villa during the day. I can’t fault the place or Audrey who is a very friendly and professional host. 100% will be booking again

We were met by Audrey who showed us around and it was really a wow. There was everything we could have wanted for a perfect holiday. It was clean- no having to wash everything before we started. The Palms was a bit too big for the two of us but for a couple of families it is perfect. Having said that - it was lovely to have the extra space. The garden was secure for our dog - at least once each day she would show off doing zoomies right around the villa. The pool was amazing as the temperature started rising as we went into June. All in all it was a wow - well worth repeating.

Lovely large property well equiped and clean great host you need a car because of location but its quiet rural location makes it peaceful and relaxing really enjoyed our week.

Fabulous week with friends

A group of 7 of us (aged 26-27) stayed here for a week. It was perfect for us. Lovely pool and outside eating area where we spent our time at home. Had lovely meals at an Argentinian restaurant down the road (very good steak!) and at Esmarelda’s which was a short drive or a 40ish minute walk. Also a lovely beach in walking distance where we built an awesome sand castle (still kids at heart). Terragona and the near by aquaduct are worth a visit and we had a fun day at Port Abentura Land. Also lovely mountains close by which some of the boys explored.

Golden wedding holiday celebration.

Just returned from a special family celebration in this charming villa. We were a group of 9, grandparents, two sets of parents and 3 teenagers. There was a lot of room and lots of places to relax but never feeling crowded. The villa is a 5 minute car ride from the village which is very pretty with a number of cafes/ restaurants to choose from. The pool was a real attraction for us. We did find the cooker a little difficult and the electricity cut off while cooking was in progress a few times. It was very hot while we were there and the lack of air conditioning in the downstairs bedrooms meant nights could be rather sticky but it did not spoil our overall enjoyment of our surroundings. We would recommend the villa and the lovely places to visit in the surrounding area.

Exactly what we were looking for

We have had our family holidays in Spain for many years now and every time we rent a villa. Therefore, I can safely say that this villa was perfectly in line with my family's expectations. The villa is very spacious and has everything you would expect and more. Closed area is one of the advantages of having a vacation with children and dogs. I'm grateful to the villa owners for the villa's entertainment such as the wii console, dvd collection, table football and etc., which was very helpful when it came to taking breaks from the pool. I must mention that the communication was great, Audrey & Richard are a great team. We will definitely be back there next year ! Virginia

Spacious villa with very large outdoor space

Thanks very much to Audrey and Richard for our stay at their villa. We stayed with another family, in total there were 4 adults and 4 kids. The villa is large enough that you don’t feel as if you are on top of one another. The outdoor space is huge and the kids had a great time playing hide and seek both indoor and out. Outside pool was lovely and when I had to call Audrey to say the pool needed cleaning, Richard was around within the hour to sort it out. No quibbles. TV package was very good, full sky English channels and there are lots of games to keep the kids entertained. Parts of the villa were worn, upstairs patio sun blind was weather beaten/ripped and some of patio chairs by the bbq could do with replacing. Kitchen could have had a little more attention to detail, no dish cloths to wipe sides down and oven and blinds were not the cleanest. Perhaps a nice suggestion would be to provide a welcome pack with some essentials: milk, ham, bread and a large bottle of water on arrival in the fridge after a long travel but just being picky. You definitely need a car. You are very isolated with the nearest shop around a mile away. Beach is roughly a 15-20 min walk in the heat. No restaurants within walking distance. Luckily there were no further bookings until Saturday and Audrey and Richard were kind enough to let us stay until 1500 instead of leaving at 1000 at no extra charge. Having that time made a huge difference to our last day. Overall we had a great time. Pool lovely, plenty to do in villa for kids. Communication leading up to our holiday was great and nothing was an issue for them to sort out. Thanks again.

Amazing Villa in a beautiful location!

This villa really is paradise, we have stayed in many properties in and around L'Amettla de Mar but this is by far the best, the photos don't do it justice. There is every possible thing you could need for the perfect holiday, the villa is very well equipped and is spotlessly clean. As for Audrey and Richard? They couldn't have been more helpful and came within a few minutes if we needed them for anything. We have already booked for another stay this year and will be booking again for next year ASAP.

Amazing Villa with all the mod cons

This is a massive property with all the mod cons you can think of for a family holiday. Richard and Audrey are great and help you every step of the way, nothing is too much. You will need a car to get around but to be honest we hardly left the Villa it was that good. The Pool and BBQ area are immaculate and the games room is brilliant for the kids. I would highly recommend staying here and its a 5* all the way. Thanks again for a great stay.

Nice stay, nice weather, nice pool.

The house is fine but also quite used. The outside chairs were all worn out and the same with loungers poolside. The kitchen table was very sticky becourse of the heat and sun and not very nice at all. Bathrooms are great and the pool fantastisc. Same with Audrey, fantastic ;-).The whole outside space was super. Unfortunately we needed a car to go to restaurants and the beaches but the quietness of the place helped :-) In general we were happy about our stay and we will probably rent with Audrey again some other time but closer to everything next time.

Als wir ankamen waren wir schockiert, im Eingangsbereich roch es stark nach Katzenurin. Das Haus war bestimmt mal toll aber mittlerweile sehr vernachlässigt. In der Buchung stand mit Meerblick, den es aber nicht gab, da ein Bereich im oberen Stockwerk versperrt war. Der Pool eine Katastrophe zum rein und raus klettern und gefährlich, da die Fliesenkanten sehr scharf waren. Für Kinder absolut ausgeschlossen. Es ist auch weder ein Spielplatz oder Golfplatz vorhanden wie in der Beschreibung. Die Klimaanlage ist für das große Haus nicht ausreichend und auf der Terrasse beim Pool, von 13 Uhr bis abends außer einem kleinen Sonnenschirm kein Schattenplatz mehr. Im großen und ganzen einfach eine große Enttäuschung für das viele Geld.

Sehr schöner Familienurlaub

Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer war super. Die Lage der Villa war sehr schön. Aber die Umgebung war sehr leer und verlassen.

Viel Potenzial

Die Vermieterin hat uns gut empfangen und auch früher ins Haus gelassen als vereinbart. Das Haus ist sehr schön aber leider sehr ungepflegt. Türen lassen sich nur sehr schwer öffnen, Klimaanlage funktioniert nur bedingt. Arbeiten zwar durchgehend aber leider nicht ausreichend. In zwei Schlafzimmer gibt es keine Klimaanlage deshalb nachts nur bedingt erträglich. Ein Schlafzimmer hat nich mal Moskitonetz was dazu führt einfach zerstoche zu werden. Die Garten Möbel hat seine besten jahre auch hinter sich. Von denn Auflagen will ich garnicht sprechen. Die Pflanzen teilweise vertrocknet und nich geplegt. Im Grunde hat das Haus sehr viiel Potenzial nur leider kümmert es vor sich hin was sehr schade ist . Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet was ansich super ist, nur leider alles sehr alt . Die Pfanne waren sehr zerkratzt , Messer absolut stumpf die weissen Teller sehr zerkratzt usw. Wir würden nicht mehr wiederkommen uns auch nicht weiter empfehlen. Schade bei einer Miete von 330 euro pro Nacht nicht akzeptabel

La casa es grande y muy bonita y está dotada de todo lo necesario pero hay muchas cosas deterioradas por el uso, como las tumbonas y colchones. Se echa de menos también algún toldo para evitar el sol que entra al salón durante toda la mañana. La casa está demasiado aislada.

Vacances en famille

Très belle villa, décoration avec beaucoup de goût. Elle dispose de tout ce qu’il faut. Très bonne communication avec la propriétaire, réactive et très aimable. Séjour très agréable pour nous tous. Proche des commodités en voiture. Nous recommandons pour un séjour en famille.
