Nestled at the bottom of the green Méchet valley and its fish-filled river, in the heart of a splendid landscaped setting of gentle mountains dotted with deep wild forests (to be explored during relaxing walks or mountain bike rides), the small town of La Grande Verrière (one of the oldest villages in Morvan located 3.5 km away), is home to notable heritage (medieval castles, some of which are ruins & manor houses) and has a sublime preserved environment of greenery & nature. Comfortable cottage. Warm country character enhanced by careful heritage restoration (period stone, brick & wood lintels, magnificent original stone vaulted ceiling on the kitchen side, beams, etc.).
