Nice and close to the train station to explore Cinque Terre. The area is ok but a little run down - the touristy stuff is on the other side of the train station so keep that in mind when booking. The place is well decorated with modern furniture and renovations although the modern design sacrifices comfort (the stuff looks great but it’s hard to sit on for very long).

Horrible experience

The owner never did communicate to us the key code or how to access the apartment. It was found in a filthy alleyway. We had to book other accommodations and were not offered a refund of any type.

Quality apartment in La Spezia

Very nice well fitted out 2 bedroom apartment in good location with short walk to Train station, shops and restaurants... Overall a great stay for the 10 nights.

We didn't have the best experience staying at this apartment. When we arrived we found the booking was made for 3 people instead of 5 people. Perhaps this was my fault - I am not sure. We could not enter the apartment until we had changed the booking to 5 people through VRBO, however, I couldn't change the booking online as it was the day of check-in. The situation was sorted after multiple phone calls to the owner and VRBO (VRBO were very helpful!) plus payment of an additional 60 Euros. The apartment was recently renovated which was nice, however, we did have a few issues. The only sitting space was on very uncomfortable stools around the kitchen table. Not an apartment you can sit in as a family and relax. The bathroom door did not have a functioning lock on it and the shower had mould in it. Apart from this, the apartment was fine. In future, I would try to avoid staying in La Spezia if possible as we didn't really like the town. Nearby Porto Venere was so much nicer!

The hotel itself was great, but we booked it to be close to the airport and it was not really that close. To get into the city center without a car requires walking a distance to a bus station and then taking a bus to the train station and then a train into the center. If you have a car it would be quite nice—the facilities were great, just not that convenient for getting into Milan itself.

Bij aankomst bleek dat we maar voor drie personen hadden geboekt in plaats van voor vijf... We begrijpen niet waar dit mis is gegaan. En zagen bij eerdere reviews dat dit al vaker gebeurd is. Na een moeilijke communicatie met de vader van de verhuurder moesten we 180 euro bij betalen om met z'n vijven te mogen verblijven! In de advertentie staat 'parkeren op het terrein'. Dit is echter niet het geval! Een aantal blokken verderop hebben we op een openbare parkeerplaats betaald moeten parkeren. Het appartement zag er erg mooi en modern uit, zoals op de foto's. Goed werkende airconditioning. De krukjes die aan de tafel vastzitten zitten echt niet fijn. Het keukengerei is minimaal, niet eens voldoende (wijn)glazen. De locatie is heel fijn. Je bent zo bij het treinstation en in het centrum. In de advertentie stond dat we om 11.00u konden uitchecken. Echter stond er om 10.10u een schoonmaakploeg voor de deur, die vertelde dat we er direct uit moesten en vertelden dat hier 5 minuten geleden een mail overgestuurd was. Aangezien wij nog niet klaar waren hebben wij gewoon om 11.00u uitgecheckt. Al met al niet zo'n fijne ervaring voor ons en vinden wij het (te) veel geld, voor wat je krijgt.
