Mold in freezer where my medicine needed to be stored. Shower was gross. Sheets smelled gross. We left a night early even though it was paid for. Money gone.

The hotel was dark and depressing. Front lobby ice machine had mold at the bottom of it. The tub was extremely dirty and rusty. The bathroom sink faucets were dirty from water residue and previous guest toothpaste. Bathroom floor had hair on it upon first entry into the room, floors were not vacuumed; food crumbs found everywhere. Sheets were stained and bed cover was found to have large urine stain on it. Reported to the front desk representative of the findings and was told there was no one on the property to handle this issue due to late hours, the findings were captured by the front desk representative and was told that the manager will be sent the photos and notified first thing in the morning. Ironically the manager never showed to work due to a “family emergency.” Worst hotel stay I thought could have ever existed! Never again will I go there!

Pros: good working fridge, microwave and TV. Cons: The tub was gross, just nasty. Either needs a serious scrub (not a wipe down) or simply replaced. Breakfast was the usual, scrambled eggs, all the carbs and yogert. No fresh fruit. No real juice. Only juice cocktail. Coffee maker was good. Electricity went out and it was hours before it was back even though all the nearby establishments had electricity.

Unfortunately the pool was down for maintenance and we were notified prior to arrival. For us, it wasn't a big deal but, I could see how awful that could be for a family with children expecting to swim.

We chose that hotel bc of the pool. When we got there the pool was closed due to maintenance. If we knew ahead of time would had went some where else. Also the fridge didnt work. Lost our gallon of milk. Definitely would not be coming back to that location

We checked in the night before our so. Graduated from Purdue. We chose Monticello because it was about 1/2 the price as the Lafayette hotels for graduation. It was a 35 minute drive to the school through rural country roads. A peaceful commute. Upon checking in Gina who was working the front desk realized I had booked the wrong room for our family and she worked her magic and got us into a more appropriate room. The gym was open which my kids said was more than adequate for a hotel, The basketball and volleyball courts were under construction as was the swimming pool so that was a little disappointing, but I don't think we would've had time for them anyways. Gina recommended Sportman's Inn to have a nice waterfront dinner and although the food and service was okay the setting and atmosphere on the patio overlooking the lake made up for it. The staff we met were friendly and helpful! We don't usually stay at Best Westerns as we are a pretty bougie family but I'd definitely stay here again. The hotel smelled fresh and clean and the room reflected that. Beds were better than so many we've stayed in. Towels probably need replacing but they were clean and smelled fresh not stale which is the case in so many rural hotels. Overall we were more than pleased and surprised! We left happy travelers. I cannot comment on the breakfast as we didn't eat it.

Expensive for the market. Hotel was nice and clean. I was very disappointed in the cable coverage. They literally only offer about 12 channels. Rediculous for $150 room.

Had pool, hot tub, sauna. Pool & hot tub need cleaning and maintenance! Only thing clean in the room was the bathroom and bed linens. Was extremely loud. Children running and screaming above us all night long. A/C, heater unit, the fan was so loud, I could not get any sleep
