Overall the property was nice for what we needed, but our experience was definitely not near as positive as any other VRBO experience we’ve ever had. 2 tips: 1) there are raccoons or something in the attic that you hear all night. I communicated this to the host and she said she’d get it taken care of, so surely this won’t be an issue going forward. But they kept most of us up all night. And 2) when booking and traveling with pets, DO NOT assume that checking all of the boxes about staying with pets is enough!! Double, triple check the fees when booking to ensure you have the pet fee. There are undisclosed cameras on the property (doorbell and I’m not sure what others because I couldn’t get a clear answer and none are disclosed in the listing) and these cameras are reviewed during your stay and you WILL be hit with a surprise pet fee at some point during your stay with no heads up and no communication. I’m fine paying the pet fee - it’s my fee for choosing to travel with my pup - but waking up to a fee out of nowhere felt a bit like I was on The Truman Show and being watched and the host never would tell me with certainty where all of the cameras were. Just felt a little odd…
