The owner did not acknowledge my Expedia reservation and made me sit out in the parking lot for 15 minutes because he saw it come through. However, he said that he hadn't received his payment and demanded me to pay a second time. Then his wife walked in on my room w/o knocking

We booked because it had a pool and was close to the lake area we wanted to hang out at, for a decent price on a holiday weekend. The pool was drained and empty. The room smelt horrific and the bathroom was so foul my kids wouldn’t even get in the shower. We left the first night and found a different place to stay.

This was a basic motel. It was simple and clean but the beds were not very comfortable and the pillows were very flat. The AC worked great, it had a fridge and microwave. It was worth what we paid for it and helped us save money on a trip for a family emergency.
