• Rumbling Bald Passes. Your home comes equipped with Rumbling Bald Community Passes, which give you access to several activities in the community. We do not manage the Rumbling Bald community amenities, and summertime amenities are only available from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
• 4WD/AWD Recommended. During winter months or inclement weather, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended. We recommend one with sufficient clearance (i.e SUV, Truck, or raised Sedan).
• We strongly recommend CSA Travel Insurance to protect your reservation against unexpected events such as inclement weather, medical emergencies, or travel delays.
• Unreliable GPS. Please note that GPS does not work for this location. Please review and take note of our written directions before departing on your trip.
• Noise Ordinance: Exterior quiet hours are strictly enforced from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. to ensure a peaceful mountain environment.

The place was in the perfect location and great space for two families with kids. The view is beautiful and the layout works really well- plenty of space to play, watch tv and cook. We enjoyed the hot tub and the amenities such as walking trails, basketball and the playground. This is our new annual spot to meet up with our friends!

Summer trip to NC

It was a lovely house, peaceful and secluded with spectacular views of the mountain. Five people in our group, four adults and one teen. Plenty of space to spread out with a very well-stocked kitchen. Only disappointments were a dryer that struggled to dry a load, the large jetted tub in the master bath did not work, nor did half of the jets in the hot tub. Also disappointed that the resort closed the outdoor pool facilities for a private event with no notice, which really ruined our plans; had we known we would have rearranged our schedule.

Big Rock Candy Mountain

When we originally rented this property based on the website and the pictures and the amenities, we felt like it would be phenomenal. However, the gas stove did not work properly, the master tub, which is supposed to be a jet spa did not work. We had outlets that did not work, the master bedroom does not allow for leaving the ceiling fan on and cutting the master lights off. The golf cart was used for one full trip down the mountain to the Starbucks and back and then down the mountain to the pool and then had to be towed back up to the house as it would not go. And it was on the charger before it was used. Then after everyone went to bed, we were awakened by alarms going off for a gas leak in the house in which we called the property managers and they told us to call the fire department come to find out the gas leak was caused by the batteries overheating in the golf cart, which was plugged back in as we had found it in the garage. The fire department told us they had been called to this same property three times for the same issue at this point, we believe that these major issues need to be addressed and have not been by the property management team.

One of the best at Rumbling Bald

We go to Rumbling Bald at least once a year and this is one of the best if not the best house we’ve stayed in. It is so beautiful with a gorgeous view. It was clean, spacious, and laid out well. We specifically choose homes with hot tubs and this one has a great one! The downstairs has a bunk room with an arcade game and mini air hockey and there’s a downstairs family room with a pool table. The kitchen table had enough room for everyone and there were lots of baby supplies including baby gates available. We loved the aesthetic - it’s decorated beautifully ! Beds were comfortable. It was convenient having access to the garage which is where the trash can is kept- unavailable to wildlife! Also loved being able to use the golf cart- that was a really great bonus. We had a couple very minor issues and the host was very responsive. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful home, needs a different Property Management Company

The house is very beautiful. It was extremely clean. However, there were no paper products in the house which I wish we would have known, and we could have brought some with us. We weren't there 24 hours when the microwave died. They did bring another one over but it took almost 2 days. The blinds in the kitchen didn't work, so we were not able to raise them up to enjoy the view that was advertised in the listing. There were no kitchen towels; however, there were a good number of bath towels and towels for the hot tub. Upon arrival, we realized the light didn't work in the living room. They never did come fix that. When we ask for an additional night on our stay, they were going to charge us twice as much as we had paid originally. The towel rack fell off the wall in the master bath. My husband was able to put it back up temporarily. The house itself was lovely. All of our beefs are with the property management company called Carolina Mornings. They did not respond to questions, they did not respond to complaints, and when I called to visit with them regarding the things I've listed here, they've offered no explanation or even an apology.

Stay at big rock

I wasn’t able to check in at 4:00. Cleaning people were still cleaning. I should say the cleaning lady had her teenage son helping (not any help) clean. I don’t blame her. She should’ve had more help. I we didn’t get in there until 4:45. Unacceptable. I had my elderly mom who’s in a wheel chair with a recently broken humerus/arm. Not easy. I was offered an extended 2 late check out, great we were leaving the night before, so that didn’t help. So there you go. The house was great. It was management.

We really enjoyed this property. We had lots of room and everything in the house is very comfortable. The view is gorgeous and makes you want to stay longer. The amenities are great and we would definitely go back and stay in this house.
