Rumbling Bald offers a variety of amenities including 2 golf courses, fitness center with indoor pool/whirlpool, saunas, tennis/pickle ball courts, 2 outdoor pools & special events. There are area wineries, breweries, music, trails, waterfalls, and more within an hour's drive of Lake Lure. Saluda, Rutherfordton, Black Mountain, Mills River, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Brevard are great day-trip destinations. By choosing to visit, you’re supporting the local businesses of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Western NC.
Creekside is your "home away from home". Plenty of living space for your family and your family pet as well (limit two), we have supplied pet beds, crate and towels if Rover decides a romp in the creek is in order.
Bedrooms two and three are on the ground floor of the house. Bedroom two has a queen bed as well as a double fold out sofa. For your convenience we have a coffee station, mini fridge and a flat screen tv. You can step out onto the screened porch and enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek while sipping your morning cuppa. The ensuite full bath has a walk in shower and a double vanity. Bedroom three is outfitted with 2 twin beds and 2 pull out twin trundle beds. The full bathroom has a combined tub and shower.
Upstairs you will enter the great room complete with gas fireplace, large flat screen smart tv, plenty of comfy seating and access to the screened porch. Additional dining space as well as just chilling and watching the golfers on the 14th hole awaits you on the porch.
Upstairs you will find a fully stocked kitchen with dining for 8 and counter seating for 2. If you do need to get a little work done an office space overlooking the golf course is just off the kitchen. Inside the walk in pantry you will find 8 passes for Rumbling Bald. Plenty of storage and an over size capacity washer and dryer as well.
Bedroom one is just off the kitchen. Complete with King bed, flat screen tv, and full size ensuite bath with tub and shower combo. Step out onto the screened porch with a cozy sitting area as well as a dining area. Outside the porch are 2 grills, one gas, one charcoal. Gather the chairs around the fire pit and enjoy s'mores.

We really enjoyed our stay. This property is secluded and was perfect for our adult family. We loved sitting on the screen porches, listening to the creek and watching the golfers go by. We made reservations and visited chimney rock State Park and the Village. Great week long vacation! Would stay here again.

Listing was accurate except for the "no smoking"

The house was very quaint and well decorated, with cozy amenities. Screen porches were awesome, and the community pool with the lazy river was a huge hit with the kids. There were lots of no smoking signs arouund, but there were a couple of ashtrays there which was confusing, and there was clearly the smell of smoke in the house as well as a damp/moldy smell. It was enough to caus e a significant alergic reaciton for my wife, and we wound up leaving a day early just to get away from it. Not all vacation stays can be homeruns, and this one certainly wasn't.

Idyllic Lake Lure

First, this house has EVERYTHING that you will need to make it your home away from home. The kitchen was stocked so well. There were pet bowls and beds (if you are bringing your pets). There is a wine refrigerator. There are ALL types of cooking dishes and serving dishes. Have never seen a house so well equipped. There is both a regular coffee pot and a single serve Kuerig. Even has beach towels and beach chairs. There are 2 screened porches that have wonderful views of the golf course and the trees. The babbling brook is soothing. You can hear it from the front screened porch and there are also two outdoor areas from which you can enjoy it. Both porches have both tables and seating areas. There is a gas grill and a charcoal grill. Charcoal was available but we didn't need it. The two secondary bedrooms are on the lowest level. The living area and front porch are up a flight of stairs. The kitchen, dining area, master bedroom and back porch are up another flight of stairs. None of us had issues with the stairs but wanted to let you know in case someone in your party might have an issue with the stairs.

Great house, easy process.

This is large, nicely-furnished property with all you need for a relaxing time. Tucked into the woods and private, but still close to Rumbling Bald facilities and activities. The process for check-in and communications were flawless. Thanks.

Amazing girl's weekend!

We can't say enough about this property! We go on a girl's weekend every year and this was by far the best weekend! The house had everything you could possibly need and the setting was so relaxing! We will definitely stay here again! 10+ stars!

Awesome “girls trip” vacation!!

Would absolutely recommend this property. Went for a “girls trip/birthday” weekend and it was amazing. The house was so clean, had plenty of room for all of us to have our own room and bathroom! The host thought of everything you would need from laundry detergent to treats and toys for the dog! Only small downfall was the drive way. We drove an F-150 so there was no room to turn around to be able to pull out of the driveway. If you’re driving a bigger vehicle, we found it easier to back in from the top of the driveway. Can’t wait to come back! Beautiful home and views. Loved all the porches and outside space.
