Clean, looks brand new, easy parking, great customer service, especially front desk staff, and especially “Maansi’ who checked us in, such a helpful girl, she was a great support with our requests, the hotel is close to main street, our room with balcony was pretty spacious. Super close to an awesome Indian restaurant “ Heritage Indian Grill’ which we loved, loved and dined at 3 times. Wished the hotel included complimentary breakfast otherwise its 10/10, We Loved our 4 night stay there! Thank you, Thank you Cambria!!

Valentine's Weekend At The Cambria

We recently returned from a 2-night stay at the Cambria Hotel. This is a new hotel and it is quite beautiful. Although not on Main Street in downtown Lake Placid, the walk to get there was roughly 20 minutes, with the Olympic Oval being another 10 minutes or so. We love to walk, so this was not an issue for us. Plus we didn't have to hassle with parking. The hotel receptionist who checked us in was warm and courteous. We opted for the buffet breakfast on Sunday. Although limited, the selection of hot and cold dishes were varied and tasty. The blueberries were exceptional. We were a little taken aback when we saw that an automatic 18% gratuity had been added to our bill. I expect this with large parties, not a party of two. We always tip when we eat out, even at a buffet. It was just unexpected to see an automatic gratuity. The service, plate clearing, water glass refilling, etc. was very slow and the dining area was not busy during our visit. Our experience with the breakfast dining staff and the hotel receptionist who checked us out was lukewarm. They weren't rude, but they weren't very welcoming. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice, the bed was comfortable and the hotel sits back off the road, so traffic noise is a non-issue. Yes, would consider returning for another visit.
