Far far away from the town I booked this hotel for the location, expecting to get beautiful lake views in a peaceful location away from the traffic.
In reality there were no views, the location was traffic free, but the hotel was noisy inside.
My room (101) was directly next to reception and the restaurant, so earplugs are essential as the restaurant noise only subsides from 10pm to 5am.
My room was airless - couldn't open the window, and no a/c or fan.
The restaurant staff were exceptionally helpful and of a high-service level, in particular David, who speaks very good English.

Excellent all round
Everything was bright and clean, with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast included, was excellent, and with this starting at 5am, ensured that the early day trips were easy to meet. The location is slightly out of town, which made it very quiet.. Although the Taxi into town was only 10 Soles and about 10 minutes to the main plaza, which the receptionist was more than happy to arrange.
The facilities were good and the shower was powerful with plenty of constant hot water.
The room had no towels at first, but after a quick call to reception, these were immediately bought up. Still warm.
Over all an excellent experience at a very reasonable price.
