Hotel defines “Country Living.” Very outdated but okay. I was greeted onsite. Female at front desk was welcoming. Got into the room to use the bathroom the toilet didn’t flush after first use. I called the front desk at 4:20 to have someone come up and plunge. Female told me there was no housekeeping service available they all leave at 5. She proceeded to tell Md that I would have to plunge the toilet myself and handle all housekeeping needs. I explained to her that this is not my job and my paying to stay there is their responsibility. If there is no housekeeping she needed to come and plunge. If I have to plunge a toilet I expect something off of my bill. She again repeated there is no housekeeping after 5 and I would have to plunge. A few minutes later a young man came to my room a tried to hand me the plunger. I sent time back to his manager explaining that I was not going to do it. She was insistent that it was my responsibility and sent the young man back to my room. I AM PISSED!!

Lancaster Visit

There was a problem at check-in. We were suppose to have adjoining rooms. Not sure who was responsible for mistake, the motel or Hotels.com, but we had one room on the ground floor and one on the second floor. We are seniors, no elevator. We asked young lady on the desk if she could get us all m at least bottom floor. She didn’t even try. Rest of staff not as bad.

Carpet was not vacuumed. Kept stepping on “stuff”. Wore shoes at all times. Towel looked like it was from a car wash. All frayed on the bottom. Fan very noisy. Thought it would blow in a second. My concern when the room is so neglected, is bed bugs. I would have left, however, I needed a room for one night.

Everything was great here. Lancaster is a busy, touristy place sometimes, and this is a great spot for access to the highlights. It is super clean, comfortable and homey, and lovely staff. Will stay again.

It is an affordable and adorable hotel. Have stayed before and will stay again! Location is also not far from downtown Lancaster so we could enjoy the busyness of the city but enjoy the quiet of the hotel.

Bed bugs

Was bitten by bed bugs in neck, hand and legs, got itching for a week. I have stayed in even cheaper motel but still good. This is a terrible place.

We have stayed at Country Living Inn twice with positive experiences both times. It is easy to locate, clean, easy to check in with plenty of parking. The rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable. Close to Sight and Sound Theatre and shopping.
