Tv not working when we arrived, but they fixed it quickly and provided a credit. Step up into bathroom was awkward, and tub shower was slippery and drained very slowly.

Our room was very clean, well decorated, and had everything we could need. We were on the 3rd floor, and there us a shared kitchenette, lounge, and a laundry room. There was a full size washer and dryer (not coin operated). The staff was so friendly and helpful. We decided to stay an extra day, and the staff made it work. It is in the middle of town with shops, restaurants and a beautiful park within walking distance. Amish country is all around. We enjoyed watching them work the land with horses. More shopping options in surrounding towns.

First time staying at a historic hotel

Historic hotel, built in 1764, before the signing of the Declaration of Independence! Gorgeous interior and our room was beautiful and spacious, unlike any modern hotel out there and at a reasonable rate. The bathroom is on the smaller side with no shelf space, like it used to be in the old days, but it was clean and renovated. Enjoyed our stay there if only for one night. Hotel also has a nice bar. Limited parking behind the hotel but during weekdays, no problem.

Great location, friendly people, cool spot

Great location, fun pub downstairs that we grabbed a drink at and have eaten at on a prior visit when we weren't actually staying in the same building - solid food and drink options. Can walk around the city easily. Friendly staff. Did see a few crumbs it looked like on the tv stand - possibly from prior guests complimentary cookies, which we also received and was a nice touch. Room was clean overall though, but a couple small details here and there. Not the easiest front doors to bring luggage through. Would stay again.

Historic hotel, tiny bathrooms, slippery tub

Our room had 2 queen beds. One bed was completely broken down, so maybe 2-3 hours sleep. Lamps were dusty, drapes were difficult to open and close. The bathroom was tiny. The tub was slippery to step into without any handicap bars for safe assistance. Please consider using a fragrance free laundry detergent. The towels and sheets had a strong fragrance which affected our asthma and COPD.

I didn’t realize that they do not have an elevator. I asked to have my room cleaned. I followed directions on card on wall. Left card on bed pillow to change sheets and put used towels on bathroom floor as directed to by card. My bed was made but the bathroom towels were left on floor. Never cleaned bathroom or changed towels.
