The host interaction was inadequate for my stay. I couldn’t even stay there the first night because I thought it was paid already. I paid a third upfront and the two-thirds later. The host had my credit card info. About 7-8 days before the trip, I got a message while extremely busy that had info of the last pymt, I thought it was was paid. A week later I get off my flight in FLL and since the WiFi was not working, I saw a message from the host saying pay up now I’ll be going to bed soon but don’t get it until 11:30pm. He would not charge my cc he already had and admitted he charged other guests before but wouldn’t charge mine knowing I’ll be coming in from Texas and would be late. Why inconvenience guests that up until now, hosts seemed to always make it easier for guests not worse. I had to shop for a hotel room for over an hour and didn’t check into my hotel room until 2am for 300. This host has a whole lot to learn about attracting quality guests. There were no helpful hints, no garbage bags in the cans, dirty utensils in the drawer but we found plastic utensils. The towels and sheets didn’t smell fresh. I think using dryer sheets might help that. He did provide coffee. There were plenty of towels. The stay wasn’t too bad but a couple of reminders in the days just before the trip is a must if your not automatically going to take it on arrival day.
