Las Canteras Beach is a long stretch of sand that extends for 3800 metres along the bay. Recognised as one of the best urban beaches in Spain and the world, it offers a pleasant climate for most of the year, ideal for relaxing, water sports or simply enjoying its vibrant atmosphere. It is a special place, with a marine nature reserve and a seabed full of life, which makes the beach an excellent destination for snorkelling, surfing and swimming. A unique feature of Las Canteras is 'La Barra', a natural rocky formation that protects part of the beach, creating a natural pool at low tide.



The promenade is ideal for exploring shops, cafes, ice cream parlours and restaurants, with options to suit all tastes. At the beginning of the promenade are the terraces of La Puntilla, famous for their fresh fish restaurants. At the opposite end, near the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, there is a surfer vibe, with more terraces and cafes facing the sea.



If you decide to explore further, you can reach the south of the island in just 40 minutes, with incredible beaches such as Playa del Inglés or Maspalomas, famous for their dunes and natural landscapes. In the south you will also find leisure options such as the 'Holiday World Maspalomas' amusement park and the 'Aqualand Maspalomas' water park. Other places of interest on the island include the picturesque town of Teror (18 km away), the Tamadaba Natural Park (68 km away) or the port of Agaete (36 km away).
