Great pool for kids

We had a great stay. My girls love the pool. Very convenient if you are traveling with kids. You have everything inside hotel. Movie theater, game room, food, access to river, they offer child care if you need to get some time for yourself. Definitely we will go back next year.

I was a bit disappointed. Starting with not being informed about the adult pool being closed until the next day. I only came for the pool. I wouldn't have paid for my disappointing room as well. My phone charging ports in the room weren't working and nobody came to address this. I called the front desk twice, a few hours apart with no action.

It smells a lot like cigarettes. I brought my children and they couldn't be in the bedroom because of the cigarette smell and they didn't want to give me towels and my bathroom was very dirty.

First day notice the room had a weird smell. 2nd thing, carpet was super dirty, my toddler was walkng bare foot for a bit and the her feet were black. The pool was super dirty. Bot enough umbrellas. we couldnt take a shower or bath because the water was yellow! We called customer service and they said its because its on a well and it will go away eventually. We were there for 4 nights and the water was always yellow. We tried getting a hold of customer service but no answer. I want a refund!

Could Be Better With Some Improvements

When we checked in, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. The room was not clean at all—much worse than I expected, even after reading reviews about poor cleanliness. When I first turned on the water, it came out yellowish or brown, which was very concerning. It only started to clear after letting it run for a while. There was no hair dryer, and the fridge didn’t keep anything cold. The air in the room felt very stuffy and unpleasant. The one good part was the pool—my kids had a great time swimming there.

The rooms here are old and in disrepair.Our room had no remote control and when we tried to call down to the desk no one ever answered. I had to use my bf's cell phone bc my never got service in either of the 2 rooms we had. The nightstand between the beds was supposed to have lights and a place to charge the phone when nothing worked we that had lights in a place to charge your phone when nothing worked we looked only to find the plug had been cut and was still in the wall!! We could've been seriously harmed! Upon assisting the front desk, through cell phone, bc they still never answered, they offered a weak apology and "upgraded" us to another room exactly the same which turned out to be worse! The beds in both rooms we had were uncomfortable, you could feel every spring. The pillows were great though. The shower in our "upgraded" room was terrible! My 3 year old daughter began screaming " It hurts! It hurts!" I thought it was the water temperature but turns out the water was spraying out of the tub faucet so hard, (while the shower was on) that it was hurting her. This also made the shower pressure incredibly weak. We paid $100 more than any other room in Laughlin bc my daughter loved the pool last time we visited my mom here when she had a room. By the way her cabinet door fell off during her trip that time. For the price it was definitely not worth it. I'd rather pay the $10 per person to just visit the pool next time.

The first room we were given was a mess, had not been made up. Second room was made up but was very noisy outside. We went down to the pools and 2 out of 3 were very green!! And this was on a Wednesday. Would never stay there again

The staff is the biggest asset of Avi. From check in (with Lily) to check out, they go above and beyond. The room: we got a king room. It was properly cleaned, but maybe shampooing the carpet would go a long way. It had a clean mini fridge with easy access to ice. The bathroom was clean (only issue is that the tap water and shower water is yellowish and smells like river water- did NOT brush our teeth with it). The first night, our linen bedding smelled like it was left in the washer too long, like mildew or mold). I mentioned it to the housekeeping staff and it was immediately resolved (they were awesome and a tip goes a long way). The pool was awesome, with waterslides and a kiddie pool. Offering fresh towels. Didn't smell too strongly of chlorine. Didn't go to the river at this location because it smelled gross, so we went to the public park instead. The casino downstairs smells like smoke/casino, as you would expect. Everyone was friendly every time we walked through it to get to the food court or outside to the pool. There's a Sabarro, Panda Express (super friendly employees), thrifty ice cream, and a subway. Overall, I recommend this place and will be coming back!!

Many activities can be done to combat the heat such as getting in the river or pools. I didn’t like that some parents don’t take care of their kids in the pool area. I witnessed a kid swimming in an area too deep for him, he swallowed water and vomited in the pool. The pool had to be closed for all guest.
