Welcome to Kalmia Suite C, a private upstairs one-bedroom apartment one block from downtown Laurel — and right next door to the iconic Ms. Pearl's house featured on HGTV's Home Town.

The suite is built for a slower kind of getaway: coffee on the front porch with a view toward downtown, then a one-block stroll to Laurel Mercantile Co., the Scotsman General Store, the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, and the restaurants and shops of the historic district. Everything that brings people to Laurel is within walking distance, and you come home to a quiet street in the heart of it all.

Inside you'll find a king bedroom, a full bathroom with a gorgeous tiled walk-in shower, a full kitchen, and your own living space — the entire apartment is yours, with a private entrance and 24-hour keypad entry, so check-in is easy whenever you arrive. An air mattress in the living room lets a third guest tag along. Pets are welcome, so bring the four-legged member of the family (note: the suite is an upstairs apartment reached by stairs).

Traveling with friends or family? Kalmia Suites A, B, and D are in the same building — book two or more and stay on the same property together while everyone keeps their own space. Ask us about pairing suites for a girls' weekend or a Home Town trip with another couple.

Great location. Very nice accommodations. Bed was very comfortable. The couch in the main living area was not very comfortable but we made it. I would definitely recommend this location and would stay there again.

We had a great time! This place was within a short walk from everything downtown. We were close to all the restaurants, but be sure to check ahead to make sure places are open. The bed was very comfortable!

If you want to be in downtown Laurel and be able to walk to everything, this is the place. Very accommodating and pet friendly. Love having our fur baby with us

Anniversary Trip

The unit is a second floor apartment that is very close to downtown Laurel. You can easily walk to downtown from the apartment. All of the hometown houses are located behind the church toward the art museum on 5-7th street, it was fun to walk that area in the afternoon

This B&B is super clean with beautiful updates!! The bed is very comfortable. Lots of natural light flow throughout this B&B if you wish to open the blinds. The front porch is the best, especially upstairs! Much of downtown Laurel is within view and an abundance of shopping and restaurants is in walking distance. For a B&B that is right downtown, this is a very quiet location. Highly recommend : ))

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I are teachers and big fans of Home Town. This apartment and location was perfect for our needs. It was clean, spacious, comfortable, and filled with Southern charm! So close to the downtown and historic district. An easy walk to Bird Dig Cafe, an ice cream at the Parlor, or a perfect night time stroll to see all the Home Town houses.

It did not mention that I can find that it was a second floor apartment. There was no toaster or glass baking dishes. The paint in the bathroom was blistered and chipped off, hope it wasn’t lead paint.
