Situated at an altitude of 1692 metres, the lake is surrounded by imposing rock faces and offers breathtaking views. The path to the lake has an altitude difference of about 1036 metres and the walk takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The Maggia River flows through the valley, creating enchanting places where crystal-clear water flows between the rocks.
