Check in was easy, the room was clean, the biggest disappointment was they didn’t have a hot breakfast due to construction and we were not informed ahead of time. I likely would have booked somewhere else as we were traveling for sports and my child needed a hot breakfast so we were forced to go out to eat.

I booked thru Expedia but was not informed that the the Layton Hampton inn was under remodel and did not have any of the amenities that would make a stay over the Christmas holiday with family a pleasant experience!! I stayed one night then had to cancel my reservation to find a suitable place for my family !!! It was very disappointing as I had family flying in !! I would like a refund less the one night I stayed !! Plus it was 30.00 a night more than the Hampton inn Farmington where I found a couple rooms available!!

There was no indication of renovations at this hotel in their profile. Our room was filthy, and one of the queen beds was broken when we first entered the room. Not to mention a 2x4 keeping the window closed....classy. We were transferred to another room that was adequate, but there was no breakfast. Old muffins and wrapped up fruit is not what Ive come to expect from a Hampton Inn. Had the hotel been transparent about these things, we just would have booked somewhere else.
