This charming cottage is set within a historic estate built in 1820. The Domaine de la Maison Neuve is surrounded by fields where dairy cows and horses roam. This historic home has witnessed many wartime events. It served as a German command post from 1940 to 1944, then as an American command post in June and July 1944. Dwight Eisenhower’s first headquarters is less than 2 kilometers away. La Maison Neuve is the perfect base for exploring the D-Day landing sites. The cottage is just 20 minutes from Omaha Beach and the medieval city of Bayeux.
