We were not able to ;use the room we had ordered because it was on the second floor and my wife uses a cane and she could not clime the stairs. They gave us a room at another location which was not nearly what we expected. The only good thing about the room was that the sheets were excellent. Better than what we have experienced at other hotels.

This is a great historic hotel, just keep that in mind during your stay. Much of the rooms doorframes and other hardware is kept as genuine as possible, sometimes to minor detriment. A prime example is that the main door to our room had a gap in it through which two people could easily see each other. It's not great, but that's how the original doorway was put in. We absolutely loved our stay and the staff were amazing! All of the foibles added to the charm of staying at such a historic location for us.

The room was great, really loved the old furniture and art. The coffee stand was operational, so was able to get espresso in the lobby (but free coffee was also available right outside our door). And, with the restaurant right downstairs, we rarely needed to leave the building. We were there for a ski day at Cooper, so very convenient for that.
