Great Location in Mt. Dora

The hotel has an excellent location, we stayed before and love it! The main hotel is older, the tub was a bit peeling, and one of the mattresses was lumpy but when I told the desk, they were glad it was brought to their attention. They can't fix what they don't know is broken. The grounds are lovely and on the lake.

We were here for one night during our honeymoon and loved the location of the inn, the view of the lake was gorgeous and the proximity to downtown made walking everywhere so convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel at home, and one of them gave us a free drink voucher when we mentioned it was our honeymoon. Our only complaints were that the toilets didn’t seem to flush completely and the door to the bathroom in our room didn’t close all the way, but aside from that, we enjoyed our stay very much!

Beautiful Views, Great Location

The Lakeside Inn is a lovely old inn with beautiful lake views and a great place to stay because you can park and then walk around Mt. Dora to restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Because it's "old" it does need some renovation but the grounds are beautiful.

Lovely historical hotel easily walkable to all the tourist areas and dining options in Mount Dora. Very nice veranda with views of the lake and beyond to enjoy a morning coffee. Very relaxing atmosphere within the hotel with all the staff very helpful and informative of the facilities and local area.

The hotel was very charming and relaxing had two bars and a restaurant and a kept pool overlooking the water with boat charters available. Once we park the car, we did not have to move it at all. We were within walking distance to everything.

Unique hotel for history lovers. Great location and walkable to many dining and shopping options. Although clean, wear and tear is visible with rust on fixtures. Bedding is not the comfiest and walls are thin. Make sure you pay attention to room selection. My room was tiny and mostly bed.

Great time at Lakeside

Hotel had a great historic feel. It is located right in town which made walking to restaurants and bars easy. We had an amazing view of the lake. The room was smaller than we thought it was going to be, and the drinks on site are way overpriced. Luckily it's a quick walk to town to find better food/drinks and there are so many things to do you won't be spending much time in your room.

While the grounds are pleasant and exterior of buildings look nice pay attention to the room. We stayed at the Gable Little dark inside no elevator as only 2 story. Room could be cleaner at baseboard by beds crumbs and dirt. The hot water tap in morning was milky white and the sink. Tv remote control doesn’t work. Had to use on off button on tv. Finally no maid service had to request someone come empty garbage bins and bring clean towels. I’m still waiting to hear back from the property. Thankfully we only stayed 2 nights. Very disappointed

We were welcomed by Jordan at the front desk. She was very welcoming and kind, gave us great tips, and was just a lovely person. We love staying at Lakeside Inn. Everyone is friendly, and the place is very charming.

Main meal was not good. Appetizer was wrong. Waited forever for the entree. Had prime rib and eggs. Prime rib was fatty. No bread available for eggs. Waiter was not attentive as should have been. Bathtub needed non-slip material. Difficult to adjust shower. Water pressure appears low. Building built in 1883 so there is a lot to be desired. Trip was pleasant.
