Overall, I would stay here again if I went to an event in Mount Dora. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of everything, it's clean, the grounds are beautiful, the staff is friendly. Weather was too cold to enjoy the big porch with rocking chairs and lakefront viewing, but that was just mother nature. The hotel is "vintage" and is staying with that theme, which is okay. Got no problem with that, however the room, for as much as it cost per night needed some updating - carpet is old and dingy, bedspread was too "grandma" for me, and very little artwork on the walls. Seems as though they could do much better in the rooms. Having said that, the king bed was super comfy, towels clean, etc.

The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. Can't beat the location for visiting Mount Dora. The rooms could use some updating. Not much room to keep bathroom sundries (pedestal sinks and narrow shelves in medicine chest), and limited storage in rooms. But overall a very pleasant stay.
