The heart of the home is a centrally positioned, open-concept social hub, where everyone can gather to chat, relax, cook and dine. Contemporary in style, but also warm and welcoming, this space is a summation of the architectural and aesthetic style of the property as a whole: its muted hues and minimalist geometric forms provide a discreet backdrop for omnipresent views that pan out over the pool and across the sea to the horizon. Two large banks of sliding glass doors allow the space to flow organically outside onto the main terraces, while a third, on the opposite side, opens out onto a slender terrace, whose high, secluding stone wall runs along the entire length of the property. Gentle sea breezes whisper through the property, reducing the need for air-conditioning.

On the left of this communal hub is a well-equipped modern kitchen-diner with honeyed cabinetry and a sleek central island that morphs into a convivial dining table; on the right is a sitting area with a commodious, L-shaped sofa and a TV.

A door near the sitting area opens into the first bedroom, a generous double with glorious sea views, terrace access, an open, en-suite shower room with double sinks, and a separate WC.

Back in the central hub, another door near the kitchen opens into a bright corridor with more of those sliding glass doors opening out onto the slender terrace behind the house. Accessed from the corridor is a guest shower room with WC and the three remaining bedrooms - all doubles with sea views, terrace access and en-suite shower rooms. The first two are separated by a recessed part of the main terrace that hosts a sunken Jacuzzi and a water feature.

Outside: echoing the streamlined and practical layout of the interiors, Mythea’s al fresco areas are perfectly formed and finished to impeccable standards.

Running along the entire façade of the house, and accessed directly from all the rooms, is a fabulous, partly shaded terrace that incorporates everything you will need to enjoy a carefree outdoor lifestyle.

Sitting in pride of place at the centre is the heavenly, heatable infinity pool, which includes a shallow, submerged platform and a pair of islets topped with sink-in sun loungers. With the water lapping around you, you’ll be able to soak up the remarkable views, relax in the sun, and simply slip into the pool whenever you need to cool off.

At one end of the pool is a well-cushioned, sunken sitting area, while to the other is a large, shaded area with a dining table and a barbecue.

Clear glass balustrades wrap around the terrace, ensuring interrupted views of Lefkada’s wooded coastal hills and vast swathes of the glistening Ionian Sea. And, thanks to the property’s western outlook, bewitching sunsets are all but guaranteed.
