Disliked: Cleanliness
Pretty disappointing
The property is poorly maintained with loose floorboards on the landing that felt like a safety risk, and also small things like missing screws on cupboard handles and broken curtain hooks which would be really easy to fix between guests. There were three of us staying but only 2 towels were provided and only 1 tea towel was provided for our 4-day stay (and no dishwasher so everything has to be washed and dried by hand). There is a washer but no dryer, no clothes drying rack for indoors, and although there is an outside washing line, there were no pegs. The cleanliness was sub-par, with greasy marks inside the cupboards, dishes were not very clean and someone’s half-eaten chocolate advent calendars left in a kitchen drawer. Kitchenware was very old with scratched Teflon. There were some good points though: heating worked well, good wifi, nice shower (though not especially clean) and a big modern TV with lots of channels. All in all, it felt like we were living in a bad student flat and I couldn’t recommend this house to others.
