Welcome to Mountain View Retreat!

Enjoy wooded and mountain views of the Appalachians from the wrap-around deck in this mountain-modern, comfortable, cozy cabin. Located just south of Blowing Rock in the extremely private, gated community of Timber Rock, Mountain View Retreat features a hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and game room. The king master suite on the main level features deck access, a TV, and a private bathroom with a luxury step-in shower. Upstairs are two queen bedrooms and a full bathroom with a cozy loft lounging area. The lower level includes a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, an additional room with two twin beds, and a spacious game room with a pool table, TV, and comfortable stools.

A stacked stone gas fireplace inside, a wood-burning fireplace outside, and a hot tub on the wrap-around deck offer your group multiple indoor and outdoor living areas. All community roads are paved right up to the level gravel driveway.

It is conveniently located about 15 minutes from Blowing Rock, with access to fantastic restaurants, shopping, hiking, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and more!

The communication with the management was impressive!! The house is lovely. The beds are comfortable and appear to be new. Upgraded bedding/sheets would be nice, but it was sufficient. I would have preferred a larger, centralized living room/gathering place for all of us. Instead, there were two small cozy spots.The house is not soundproof. You will hear a conversations from the floors above and below you, however that was not a dealbreaker for us.Although the decor is somewhat dated and tired, we did not spend a lot of time in the cabin. It was great for what we needed.

The company handling the property did a great job. The communication was superb and the house was VERY CLEAN and spacious. My apologies to the owner for not taking time to call the company regarding the deficiency we experienced. My intention was to call and talk and suggest a solution and not leave this info in a review - but in fairness to future rentals - this info is important. Due to no insulation between the floors - no one in our group had a good night's sleep. Everything can be heard and walking on the third floor sounds like you are walking in to the bedroom on the second floor. This house does not work for children due to not having any sound barriers. One couple in our group left a day early due to lack of sleep. The beautiful hardwood floors need to have some kind of sound barrier thick rug or cushioning - otherwise forget about getting any sleep. You hear every step, every baby sound, every word as if it is occurring in your room. Other than that - we loved our vacation - just be prepared for no sleep!!!
