La Ferme du Gran Shan is an OVO Network property. This spacious renovated farmhouse can welcome groups of up to 15 people, (10 adults maximum), spread over 4 floors and 330m2 of floor space. It also features an indoor swim spa.

If you are looking for a spacious place to unwind with extra facilities such as an indoor swim spa and a petanque court then look no further! 

The property boasts a family suite for four people (a double bedroom an adjoining bunk room and an en suite shower room) three other double en suite bedrooms, a double bedroom next to the shower room in the ground floor spa area, and a top floor dormitory/ play space for up to six children.

The property is in Villard sur Thônes, not too far from St Jean de Sixt, gateway to Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz.

La Ferme du Gran Shan will appeal to family groups and groups of friends or colleagues, to sport fanatics and those who prefer a more pampered holiday experience all year round. Kids are well catered for - in fact, it's difficult to try and think of a group who would not enjoy staying at this property, unless only a property on the piste will do!

IMPORTANT: Since the photos were taken, a new chalet has been built behind the property, visible from the terrace, without compromising the view or the privacy of the premises. PLEASE NOTE that the maximum occupancy of the property is 15 people. In accordance with the fire safety regulations, the property complies with the provisions of the January 31, 1986 decree (later amended) for residential buildings. Therefore, although the property has beds for 18 people, the maximum occupancy of the chalet must not exceed 15 in order for it to comply with the provisions of the decree of 22 June 1990 related to establishments that provide public access. Chalet located in a quiet neighborhood – please respect the peace and quiet of the surroundings.



The owner requires a €1,000 damage and excess cleaning guarantee to be set up
before arrival. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your card details are securely held for
up to 14 days after departure. If no charge is required, they will be deleted.

Fantastic Place in a Fantastic Location

Absolutely loved our stay here - the surrounding area is idyllic and close to so many activities. Annecy is a great city with lots of options and the house is cozy and well appointed. The kids loved the loft area and the nearby cows!

Ideal Stay for Cycling Groups

We stayed with a group of 15 cyclists in this fantastic house. The house is amazing, with enough room, good beds, very clean, and a good kitchenette. The large spa pool is also very nice for relaxing. The outdoor space is perfect, with an amazing view! We would definitely recommend this house.

You can't go wrong with this place!

We cannot fault La Ferme du Gran Shan. Warm welcome from the property manager, Sophie, including some well-appreciated treats on arrival. The chalet is extremely well-appointed with absolutely everything you need for a self-catered trip. The kids' sleeping area was fabulous for six of them to bunk down together. Every bedroom was roomy and comfortable with plenty of storage. The entertainment available means there is something to do for every kind of weather. You can't go wrong with this place.

Une belle semaine !

Nous avons passé un séjour familial (10 personnes dont 4 ados) d'une semaine pour le Nouvel An. Ce fut excellent. L'accueil de Sophie était un bon début, agréable, précis et disponible. Le spa et son grand jacuzzi sont un plus évident et ont fait l'unanimité. Le home cinéma, très confortable, a été squatté par nos ados ! L'équipement de la cuisine est très complet et adapté pour les grandes tablées. Les chambres avec leur salle de bain sont très cosy. Le local à ski est spacieux et bien équipé. En résumé, une bien belle semaine !

Tout a été excellent !

L'accueil, le chalet hyper confort, le séjour dans ce lieu enchanteur... il ne manquait peut-être que quelques jours de soleil en plus, mais les activités proposées (spa, salle de home cinéma, ping-pong, baby-foot, coin lecture... ) n'ont laissé aucun temps à l'ennui. Les chambres tout confort avec chacune sa salle de bain et une télévision, une chambre d'enfants et une mezzanine (avec plusieurs couchages) ont permis la réunion de 4 couples et 4 enfants. Le chalet est spacieux, les prestations sont haut-de-gamme... un chalet très agréable à vivre. Sa situation est proche des commodités, des stations de ski, des chemins de balades. Nos hôtes ont eu des attentions chaleureuses avec des cadeaux d'accueil de prestige. On les en remercie vivement. A recommander absolument !
