Good location. Needs maintenance
Three and a half stars. "This will do."
The location is nice - Ten minute walk from a swimmable public beach, close to an enjoyable downtown, nice restaurants. Quiet street, not entirely quiet neighbors.
This property is a condo in an rather old apartment building, but the actual rooms are as shown ( though probably three years newer and color adjusted ). There seems to be nobody nearby to assist or do repair and maintenance regularly. So small things like a shower wand that leaks a small jet water out the handle onto the floor, but everything works fine - fridge, stove, dishes.
The rental company is in Germany but the contact person is friendly and responsive by text or WhatsApp.
The downstairs (where two of four couch/beds are) initially smelled strongly of mildew, despite some very nice smelling diffusers throughout the house. Since the weather was cool, I left the windows open and the smell mostly cleared up in a few hours. Honestly a dehumidifier should be running - there was a film of moisture on all surfaces downstairs. Also the thermostat is locked (but the set temp is generally comfortable - 22C if I remember?)
In summary, this is an old country house that the owners rent out when they are not using it. Levanto is a lovely little seaside town - quieter, fewer tourists, but still a relaxing vacation spot.
Presumably you'll spend your time in the cafes, parks and beach (mostly eating and sleeping here) and for that, this property will do just fine.
