Tucked in a quiet cul de sac just a few minutes’ walk from Elie’s beach, shops and restaurants, this modern detached bungalow is a bright, pet friendly base for relaxed coastal breaks in the East Neuk. Fully refurbished to a high standard in 2023, it sleeps 4 guests across two comfortable bedrooms with two bathrooms, and offers off road parking plus a carport for easy arrivals.
Designed with accessibility in mind, the property has flat monoblock on the drive and at the front of the house, plus a gate from the carport to the enclosed garden, which is on one level with paving and grass. At the front door there are two low steps, a 1.5m turning circle, a grab bar and a small entrance lip, which is manageable for wheelchair users with assistance. A ramp is available and can be set up for arrival on request.
Inside, the bungalow is all on one level with no internal thresholds, an open plan layout and plenty of room to manoeuvre. The light filled living and dining area overlooks the secure rear garden, with two leather sofas, a flat screen TV with Sky channels, DVD player, Wi Fi, books and games. The dining table also works well as a laptop friendly space. The modern kitchen includes a dishwasher, integrated fridge, microwave, electric oven, gas hob and washer dryer, with a door leading straight to the garden.
The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, good storage and an accessible ensuite wet room with a fold down shower seat, riser rail with shower head, and grab bars beside the toilet, basin, shower and outside the door. The twin bedroom has two single beds, bedside drawers, lamps and hanging space, while the family bathroom includes a bath, overhead shower, grab bar, basin and WC.
Outside, the secure rear garden is a peaceful sun trap with lawn and paved seating area, ideal for morning coffee, evening drinks or relaxing after the beach. With private parking, accessible features and a location close to Elie’s beach, cafés and coastal walks, this bungalow makes a comfortable and practical East Neuk escape, with your four legged friend welcome too.
