Our first room smelled strongly of mold. The staff was quick to shut down the room and give us a better room. The beds are hard. The breakfasts were OK, but not as great as previous reviews lead us to believe. The hotel feels way more like a motel than the nice hotel we expected from the cost, as depicted on the site, and other reviews. Worst of it all was the used syringe and drug paraphernalia

Staff was pleasant and helpful from beginning to end! The pool and Hot tub were above average size and nice! Breakfast was good. Several options of hot food. Coffee could have been better. But it's a small detail when everything else was so accommodating. The location was handy and an attached restaurant was more than expected. The traffic noise is slightly higher than average as the trucks have to slow down right in front of the building and their air brakes or whatever are noisy. But I'm a light sleeper. My husband didn't notice. I will stay again if we are visiting again. The staff were all easy to understand. No language barriers was a refreshing experience after our last hotel required a translator. Good value for the price.

The Clarion is my favorite home away from home when I come back to Lexington!! It is the BEST pool and hot tub in town!!! They keep the place well maintained, and the staff is so kind and helpful. Kudos to the management for allowing one of their employees bring her daughter to work. I love seeing a big company that cares for their people!

Lack of respect for others.

When I got to the hotel, there were no clear signs on entry. My reservation was then changed due to my circumstances and the price was higher than I was quoted online. The first room they put me in, I couldn’t get in due to the door jam being on. So they placed me in another room. I had to be up early for an event and I didn’t get to sleep until midnight due to loud people in the hallway that seemed to be partying in the hallway. Would not recommend anyone stay there that is looking for quiet.
