The St. Clair in Frankfort is a charming boutique stay in a beautifully restored historic building, with loft-style studios full of character, an easy walk to downtown restaurants, and a convenient drive to nearby bourbon distilleries and Churchill Downs. There’s even a hidden speakeasy on-site, if you can solve the riddle to get in! Just know that, as with many historic loft properties, you may hear some noise from guests staying above you.

Staff was great and actually found a room that was blocked off for us after Expedia had a miscommunication and the St Clair did not have our reservation. Luckily the owner was inside and sat with his laptop and got us taken care of. Had he not been there we would not have had a room that we had a confirmation and paid for. Great place. The size of the apartment was perfect. It felt homey! The location was excellent for walking to the restaurants and bars. We have stayed in Kentucky previously, in several hotels, however the St Clair has been the best experience by far!
