The Paddock is comfortably furnished and well equipped, providing an ideal retreat for couples or friends and families wishing to relax and unwind in this glorious area of lower Wensleydale. This is a perfect location for exploring the many attractions that the area has to offer visitors to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Take time to explore the nearby Jervaulx Abbey and grounds, Castle Bolton, Middleham Castle (once home to Richard III, The Forbidden corner and the picturesque water falls at Aysgarth complete with scenic walks. Lovers of the countryside will find delightful gentle rambles from the door or more strenuous hikes in the limestone areas. The market town of Leyburn 4 miles away has restaurants, pubs, tea rooms, traditional shops and galleries to browse around arranged around the market square. There is also easy access into the head of Wharfedale and into Swaledale. Conveniently close to the property there is a village inn with a restaurant renowned for its food and the nearby villages have character pubs serving Yorkshire beers and good food.
