The property, location, and staff were phenomenal. However, our "superior" room was a bit of a disappointment. Our room featured only a sliding door that did not 100% seal. The room directly off a seating area and the courtyard, which constantly had guests and staff talking immediately outside at all times of the day, including taking phone calls in the earlier morning. The location on the courtyard also meant there was no way to get natural light in the room while maintaining any privacy. We had to exist in complete darkness unless we wanted to be on display to the entire hotel. Many things about the hotel are great, but our room situation was a letdown and was really quite uncomfortable for us overall for the above reasons.

Carpeting was terrible. Stains on the rug. No thought at all given to style in the room. Felt like a cheap hotel room from the 70’s. No real coffee for breakfast, only instant coffee. Disappointed!

Really wonderful stay in a historic mansion in Barranca Lima Peru. Enjoyed every aspect. Four stars because it’s not luxury, but they are wonderful and I’d definitely stay again !!

The property itself has charm and location us good. Unfortunately,the rooms are old and smell musty,almost mold like. We tried to change our room as mold concerns but other room have the same odor. Staff claimed that room wasn’t open thats why the smell but as s fact, there were guests checking out from the sane room the same day. All in all, the hotel is authentic, staff is helpfull and nice but smell/mold concerns are serious and needs to be dealt with.

Great staff, beautiful hotel and area, comfortable bed and pillows…. Although it is noisy, you can here everything from inside the room. It really doesn’t break the deal if you like to go out at night late, but if you’re in bed early it’s not the best. But overall it’s lovely.
