Hotel staff were brilliant and nothing was too much bother even when I asked if we could change rooms as I felt too claustrophobic in the original room. Decor and surroundings are stunning. I would definitely recommend The Municipal to anyone who is planning a trip to Liverpool

We came to Liverpool for a quick getaway after our wedding (a minimoon). Alex on reception was lovley, and made sure we were well looked after. The room was comfortable, clean and had loads of extras (first time we have had hotel robes, very posh). Would recommend to anyone!

We stayed for 2 nights. Opted to eat breakfast out, on this occasion. We were told that our room had been upgraded, but not sure if it really was. Our room was clean and tidy. our towels were kindly replaced even though we had kept our used ones. All staff from reception area, concierge and room prep folk were awesome! Would stay again and try the breakfast option next time. We had a great stay thank you!

Looking for a memorable, quality hotel for a Beatles themed weekend.. Positives.. Great location for the Cavern. Magnificent Palm court bar and dining area. Staff are lovely and efficient. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and quiet. Negatives .. Room was uninspiring. Tall thin window with no view other than the central rooftop. No bath as our bathroom was set up for disabled guests. TV was basic freeview. Recognised it wasnt a premium room but still felt disappointed after paying £489 for 2 nights. Pool and spa looked nice but understood a large extra fee required to use it. Nearest parking cost a further £40 for 2 nights. They have a moderate discount arrangement elsewhere but had driven for 3 hours and already parked.

The property is advertised on the site as having a pool which you have to pay for access to and they do not allow under 18 in. Extremely misleading.
